Miley Cyrus

Could this be a new generation's Britney and Madonna kiss? On Feb. 22, Miley Cyrus once again shocked fans when she smooched fellow pop star Katy Perry while singing her new single "Adore You" at her Staples Center, Los Angeles concert. The 21-year-old wild child has been making headlines with the debut of her Bangerz Tour, which features a variety of raunchy costumes and quirky set pieces like a rocking hot dog and Cyrus' infamous foam finger. Perry, 29, has long been a fan of the former Disney star and excitedly tweeted before the LA concert, "I hope @MileyCyrus sings Breakout or The Climb tonight please bb!" After the photo of their lip lock went viral, Perry shared her own aftermath shot, which features Cyrus with her mouth hanging open in shock and Perry covering her mouth with her hand. "And after! I adore you @Miley Cyrus," she captioned the candid moment.

Suicide Silence

In some more positive Soundwave news, Suicide Silence made their live debut with new vocalist Eddie Hermida at the Australian festival over the weekend, and looks like Eddie fits in just swell. Even more revealing, was during an interview at Soundwave, Eddie revealed that on the new album, which the band have completed, there will be one song featuring the final lyrics penned by late vocalist Mitch Lucker. "We have a song on there. Mitch left behind some lyrics, and we actually incorporated it into a song. It's about him being bigger than life, you know what I mean?! It's about finding that true resilience within yourself to keep going, which really means the world to us, 'cause, obviously, that's what we're doing. It came out very beautiful." You can watch Eddie say the words at around the 3:25 mark. Overall, the band seem really excited for the year ahead of them. I'm assuming since the album is in the mixing and mastering phase, we should be hearing new music this spring, with a release this summer. While I have no intel in the matter, I have to believe that the band's big summer touring plans would involve the Mayhem Festival, a fest they've played twice in the past and basically the biggest touring option for the summer in the States. Needless to say, we'll be hearing a lot from Suicide Silence in 2014, and seeing many walls of death.

Skicross

A bunch of guys on skis barreling down a mountain course within feet — and sometimes inches — of each other is going to lead to some hairy situations. Such is the life of a skicross racer. But Thursday saw one of the wildest finishes seen yet at these Sochi Games, with three competitors crossing the finish line at the same time ... and none of them upright on their skis. Egor Korotkov (Russia), Victor Norberg (Sweden) and Jouni Pellinen (Finland) all wiped out on the final jump, paving the way for Switzerland's Armin Niederer to cruise to the win. But the three who crashed all still had a shot at second place, and raced for the finish. Korotkov managed to get an arm across before anybody else, but it was a jumbled mess at the end. The photo finish caught the attention of fans on Twitter, who were posting reactions and images for the photo finish.
